Window Earrings
Part of our Old State Capitol Collection, these earrings are inspired by the numerous stained glass windows that contribute to the OSC's ornate gothic detail and have become an iconic feature. No matter if you're outside looking in or inside looking out, these windows are mesmerizing. They've been here since the beginning, as they were part of architect James Harrison Dakin's design plan. William Freret is credited with installing the stained glass dome we're familiar with today during renovations in the late 1800s.
Measures approximately 2.5" long (including loop) by 1" wide and weighs 4.75 grams in bronze (about the same as a sheet of paper). Each window hangs from gold-filled or sterling silver ear wires and comes with a story card illustrating the meaning and story of the piece. All our ear wires are nickel free.
Made by hand in our south Louisiana studio.
Each piece varies slightly due to its handmade nature.
